Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as an American musician and rapper making sly songs that addressed topics like racial or sexual identity with a comedic twist. Prior to her move into Hollywood, she was able to perform a variety of tracks. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents in Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came in the form of the trumpet. Then, she started traditional and hip-hop training. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies at college, even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. After graduating, it wasn't until that she shifted her focus to music. Her song My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a popular viral sensation via the Internet and later appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. Some other hits that went viral included Queef song and the winking NYC Bitchecity tour. The single that debuted was specifically linked to Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. After having a great career as a performer She decided to take on the role of an actor. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors to Storks. In 2018, her breakthrough performances included Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released In Fina We Trust.
